Dear Greens and
supporters:
We have less than two weeks from
Election Day, but Early Voting has begun!
Our candidates and volunteers are
busy connecting with voters in preparation for the big day. You can
help! Make a donation and volunteer by going to our candidates'
websites. A link to each candidate is provided below.
This past weekend in Cary, our
candidate for State Senate District 16, MICHAEL
TRUDEAU, spoke at a candidates' forum hosted by Sigma Tau
Omega, the first all-Black organization of its kind in the United
States. At the forum, Michael made the point that the Green Party is
not just a more progressive version of the Democrats: "My Democratic
Party opponent touts she was a senior executive for SAS corporation
for 26 years," said Michael. "Well, I say we must expropriate the
obscene $7.5 billion in wealth the CEO of SAS has hoarded. That is the
stark reality if we wish to combat climate change, house every person,
provide free healthcare and free education for all, and more. The
wealth exists to do all these things."

In Raleigh, JOSHUA
BRADLEY?is running for
Raleigh City Council - At
Large on a platform fighting
for housing justice and workers' rights. Joshua recognizes that "it's
expensive to be poor in this society. Many people have their lives
ruined, because although they work hard and the work is necessary,
they are not paid a living wage that will cover rent, housing,
transportation, childcare, and healthcare."
This week, Josh has
attended a candidates' tabling event by the city advisory council
Community Org Gathering and a Raleigh City Council candidates' forum
hosted by Shaw University. Come out and meet Josh this
Thursday, October 27, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the BARBERS 4
