Texas Congressman Michael Burgess, M.D. Endorses Amanda Makki
Physicians from the “Doc Caucus” continue to line up in support of Makki
St. Petersburg, FL—Today, Texas Congressman and physician Michael Burgess throws his support behind conservative candidate Amanda Makki, the clear conservative candidate to unseat ineffective and extreme liberal Charlie Crist next November.
“You don’t have to be from Florida to know that people are unhappy with House Democratic Leadership and looking for a change,” said Congressman Burgess. “Amanda Makki is a fighter, an experienced healthcare policy expert and advocate, and she’s just the conservative that the
people of Florida need representing them in Congress. As a physician, I look forward to working with her to reduce the cost of prescription drugs and to find sensible, conservative solutions to our country’s healthcare crisis.”
Congressman Burgess is the second physician from the Doctor Caucus to endorse Amanda Makki to replace Charlie Crist and fight for conservative healthcare reform. This new endorsement comes on the heels of Florida Congressman and medical doctor Neal Dunn’s support for Makki saying, “Pinellas County and our country would be fortunate to have her serving in the United States Congress.”
“Healthcare is one of my top priorities. On day one, I will join forces with the loudest voices in Congress fighting to repeal and replace Obamacare and lower healthcare costs for seniors. It cannot be any more crucial, and I am honored to have Dr. Burgess’ support,” said Makki.
Amanda Makki is the clear conservative front runner, has raised more than double all her Republican opponents combined, and now boasts more than eight major endorsements.
