John,
I wanted to make sure you saw this:
Yesterday, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg visited our district to see the infrastructure challenges we’re facing firsthand.
Secretary Buttigieg and I rode the Coaster on the Del Mar bluffs and discussed the need to reroute the railway out of danger from coastal erosion. We also held a press conference about this urgent issue, which you can watch part of here.
On the train with the Transportation Secretary
As part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, our office has secured over $62 million in new federal funds for local infrastructure projects in our district -- including for bridge repairs and investments in our water systems.
This will deliver desperately-needed investments for our local infrastructure, and I’m excited to see that coming to fruition.

Thanks for everything,
Mike
