Call for proposals, nominations for 32nd Annual Kitsap County Conference for Human Rights
The Kitsap County Council for Human Rights is pleased to announce a call for presentation proposals for breakout sessions during the 32nd Annual Kitsap County Conference for Human Rights. The event will be help virtually via Zoom from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022. Nominations are also open for the annual Linda Gabriel Human Rights Awards.
The conference will center around the theme of "This is Home: Our Bodies, Our Communities, Our Planet."
Submissions are now being accepted for proposals for conference breakout sessions such as workshops, presentations, panels, and interactive activities that are diverse, engaging, and center around the three topics of bodies, communities and our planet.

Linda Gabriel Human Rights Award Nominations
The Council for Human Rights is accepting nominations for the 2021 Linda Gabriel Awards, which will be presented during the conference. To submit the online nomination form and view a complete list of past award recipients, visit the Council for Human Rights website at at kcowa.us/chr [ [link removed] ]..
*The deadline for nominations is November 20. *
The Linda Gabriel Awards recognize significant contributions to human rights efforts in Kitsap County, in four categories: Youth, Adult, Organization, and Lifetime Achievement. The awards are presented each year during the Conference for Human Rights, in honor of Linda Gabriel, a founder of the Kitsap County Council for Human Rights who passed away in 2014.
