The picturesque Flat Creek north of Jackson, is well-known for its trophy-class cutthroat trout.?Recently, the Jackson fishery crew sampled a section of the creek to keep an eye on the renowned fishery. As expected, a number of trophy-class cutthroat were netted.

The Dan Speas Fish Hatchery has been in operation for 63 years and produces anywhere from 250,000 to 300,000 pounds of fish each year. That is nearly 1.3 million fish annually. The hatchery raises Eagle Lake rainbow trout, Snake River cutthroat, brook trout and brown trout.?Tag along for a virtual tour of the hatchery.
