Hi, friend,
Our stories are legendary. Our stories are powerful. Our stories are the dreams so many of our ancestors dared to believe. Our stories have the power to change hearts and minds, to shift systems, and to reimagine the future.
Between our varying identities, issues, and industries we work in, NLC community authors share their perspectives and experiences with others through their stories [[link removed]] . Our stories set off a chain reaction that makes progress possible.
As Literacy Day approaches on November 1, we invite you to check out one of the many books written by NLC alumni and members of our National Board of Directors and National Advisory Council. With the hustle and bustle of Election Day and the holidays, it's important for leaders to invest in self-care, including reading a good book or sharing stories with our loved ones. We hope youโ€™ll pair one of these books [[link removed]] with a warm blanket, fall candle, and a hot cup of cider or cocoa.
Have you read one of these books? Reply to this email to tell us about the impact that NLC community stories have had in your life. Also, please let us know if thereโ€™s a book we missed by filling out this quick and easy form! [[link removed]]
