Tomorrow night, I hope you’ll join me and members of the cast of Abbott
Elementary, one of the best shows on television, for an important virtual
conversation about the state of education in Georgia.

Across the state, we are letting our children down by not fully supporting
public education and our educators. Educators are feeling the pressures of
growing workloads, insufficient support and inadequate compensation.
School administrators and teachers grapple with increasing teacher
vacancies in teaching positions with no end in sight. This has a strong
impact on our students and their ability to access a quality education

During tomorrow night’s event, we’ll talk about these issues and more, and
you’ll also hear from some real Georgia teachers about what I can do as
governor to make sure we support our students from cradle to career.
