It has been a real honor to work alongside Lauren Underwood over the last few years. She is one of the most inspiring people I’ve served with in the halls of Congress. And she’s had ten important pieces of legislation signed into law in the last three and a half years. That’s unheard of!

What inspires me the most about Lauren dates back to when she first decided to run. Lauren was so fired up and fed up with her former Congressman’s inaction on healthcare that she decided to launch her campaign for Congress in a tough Illinois district.

In 2018, Lauren defeated a four-term Republican incumbent and made history by becoming the youngest Black woman to ever serve in Congress — helping Democrats win the House majority in the process. Two years later, she defeated her far-right opponent and won one of the toughest reelection battles in the nation by just 5,374 votes.

It isn’t hyperbole to say that this one will be just as close. That’s where you come in.

This year, Lauren is once again running in one of the most competitive House races in the country against a MAGA Republican who will vote in lockstep with Trump’s agenda.

Lauren’s team needs the resources to respond to right-wing attack ads and tell voters the truth about the GOP’s dangerous anti-abortion, anti-democracy, anti-gun safety, conspiracy-fueled agenda. That’s why I’m personally reaching out to you right now.
