The African Philanthropy Forum held its first in-person conference in Kigali, Rwanda Oct 24-25 focused on African Philanthropists Closing the Gender Gap. The forum seeks to break down silos and create foundations for collective action that involves victims, businesses, civil society, and states.
HU Senior Director for Peacebuilding, Jesse Eaves, will speak at Build Peace conference, a global conference and community of practice that explores emergent challenges to peace in a digital age, and peacebuilding innovations to address these challenges. Jesse will facilitate a workshop with three HU grantees from the US, the Great Lakes region of Africa, and Colombia using storytelling and art to provide deeper insight into one of the most important yet invisible and misunderstood concepts in peacebuilding: governance.
Melanie Greenberg, HU Managing Director for Peacebuilding, will join former Colombian President and Nobel Laureate, Juan Manuel Santos, along with other distinguished guests in a conversation on how we can combine efforts to protect nature and build peace.
