You may know me as Jed Bartlet, a fictional president who prided himself on being a straight shooter.

The West Wing might be just a show, but I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for my fictional home of New Hampshire. Whether it's 100% real New Hampshire maple syrup or leaf peeping in the fall, the Granite State has a lot to offer. And no one does a better job fighting for New Hampshire than Maggie Hassan.

Senator Hassan, like President Bartlet, is a former governor of New Hampshire, a straight shooter, and an independent leader who isn't afraid to reach across the aisle to deliver on the issues that matter most.

But this Nov‌mber, she's up against a far-right election denier who, if elected, will pull our country back decades.

I have no doubt in my mind that 202‌2 is a referendum on the Republic. And it's one that we can't sit out.

That's why I'm reaching out to you today. Maggie won her last race by just 1,017 votes, and Republicans are spending millions to oust her. But here's the thing: with the Senate split 50-50, if Maggie loses, Democrats will lose the Senate majority.

So please, stand up and join me in supporting Maggie Hassan by pitching in whatever you can to her reelection campaign.

As President Bartlet would say: Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world because it's the only thing that ever has.
