As salaamu Alaikum Supporter,

Last summer, American Muslims for Palestine invited me to personally witness what our tax dollars are funding in the Holy Land. In my limited time there, I saw up close and personal an undeniable truth—that Zionism is racism.

I returned from my trip even more committed to speaking out against Apartheid Israel and working to end its brutal occupation of Palestine.

As many of you know, because of my activism I lost a high-profile volunteer role to serve on the board of the Women’s March. But the people in Palestine are losing their liberty, limbs, and lives. May we always remember that harsh reality, to put our small sacrifices in context, to be grateful for our privileges, and to do more.

When false claims of anti-Semitism are weaponized to silence human rights advocates, it is a sight to see. While walls on the U.S. border are not OK, in Palestine they are fine. Militarized police are not OK, but U.S. taxpayer-funded state terror in Palestine is. White supremacist violence is not OK, but how dare anyone speak out against Zionist violence?

I had always stood firmly in support of Palestinian human rights and, despite the smears, will never be intimidated into backing down. But I can’t emphasize enough the importance of supporting a fearless organization like AMP that is fighting back against the forces of bigotry and hate.

AMP was the first and boldest Muslim organization to stand with me when the Women’s March caved to Zionists and anti-Muslim bigots. And AMP is the only Muslim organization challenging the power and influence of the Israel Lobby head on.

I was once on Capitol Hill while AIPAC was there—by the thousands. If we want to counter their pressure we need programs like Palestine Advocacy Day which is working to bring a thousand advocates for Palestine this March. I am asking you to make a special year-end tax-deductible gift to support this important work.
