John,
We’re just under two weeks away from NY’s general election and our demands for the rights of immigrant New Yorkers can no longer be ignored — can we count on you to make your voice heard?

As we continue to welcome hundreds of asylum seekers a day to New York, it is crucial that we vote in elected officials who are committed to supporting our newest arrivals and longtime residents alike.

With the right people in office, we can build the New York we deserve. What does that New York look like? It looks like passing legislation and strengthening policies that further prohibit NY law enforcement agencies from collaborating and colluding with federal immigration enforcement agencies. It looks like immediately providing health coverage for all low-income New Yorkers, regardless of immigration status. It looks like laying the foundation for authentic, community oriented support systems that uplift immigrants and grant them the tools they need to thrive.

These are achievable goals if we exercise our civic duty and vote for the kind of city and state every New Yorker deserves.

Find your Election Day polling place!

Our elected officials determine so many aspects of our daily lives — we can build a stronger and better future for all New Yorkers by voting on November 8th!

Onwards,

Murad Awawdeh
