Our year-end FEC fundraising deadline is coming up tomorrow and before I ask you to donate again, I wanted to pause and explain what this deadline means for our campaign.
We're up against an incumbent Republican senator who is undermining progress on issues like health care and climate change by following in lockstep with Mitch McConnell's obstruction and partisan political games and voting 98% of the time with Donald Trump.
Because he's a reliable vote for the Trump-McConnell agenda, we expect deep-pocketed Republican interests to come through for him so he can report a very strong number to the FEC next month.
Our campaign also needs strong numbers, but we need to do it the right way: no money from corporate PACs, no right-wing megadonors -- just everyday folks stepping up to help us flip this seat.
