I know everyone is sending flashy fundraising emails this week, and yes I'll make the ask too. But first, John, let's talk about healthcare.
For decades Congress prevented Medicare from negotiating lower drug prices. What were the consequences? Patients were left paying some of the highest prices in the world for medicines.
But, Suzan stood with our seniors and didn't stop until the law changed. Now, Medicare can negotiate for lower drug prices and there is a cap on insulin at $35/month.
These are the hard fought wins the people of Washington, and the country, desperately need. Because the price of a life-saving drug should not bankrupt you and your family and healthcare access is a human right and should be affordable.
Suzan isn't afraid to take on anyone in order to do what's right and with just under two weeks until Election Day, let's throw our full support behind her. This fight on November 8th isn't just about an election, it's about patients not needing to choose between their grocery bill or hospital bill. It's about parents not needing to choose between child care costs or living costs. It's about having an economy that works for all of us and an environment that will be around for future generations.
