John,

This is Mary Elizabeth Castle, Policy Advisor for Texas Values. I want to share with you personally about the work I have been able to do for Texas Values this year, thanks to our generous supporters.

Our President Jonathan Saenz recently emailed you about our urgent need to meet our year-end goal before midnight tomorrow.

I hope my email is an encouragement and reminder of the impact your financial support of Texas Values, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, has for Texas.

During the Texas Legislative Session earlier this year, I was able to be on the ground every day talking with legislators and their staff at the Capitol, educating them about the latest developments on life, marriage, and religious freedom.

I testified against dangerous ‘Ban the Bible’ bills in committee hearings -- including bills to punish Christian counselors who counsel from a Biblical perspective. Thankfully these bills were defeated!

I am also thankful to be a part of our successful efforts at the Texas Capitol to pass pro-life laws, including SB 22 and The Born Alive Infant Protection Act; and to pass a religious freedom law protecting Texans’ right to donate or associate with religious organizations, including churches.

In July of this year, I was thrilled to join the Texas Values team full-time because our generous supporters stepped up to ensure we had additional resources to expand our policy team.

Since July, I have helped with Texas Values’ efforts protecting Texas children across the state to:

  • Defeat a local ‘Ban the Bible’ LGBT policy in Wimberley ISD.

  • Stop a Drag Queen Story Hour in a Leander Public Library.

  • Expose Austin ISD’s radical sex-education plans, including their connection to Canadian abortion providers.

  • Prepare and mobilize for the battle to stop radical sex education at the Texas State Board of Education, impacting over 5 million children in Texas schools.

I am so passionate about the work God has called me to do to protect the next generation of Texans. With attacks like never before, we need a united brigade in order to protect the children in the state of Texas.

Will you join me in ensuring faith, family, and freedom are protected for our future generations?

Thanks again to several of our generous supporters, we have a $42,500 Matching Challenge underway that will DOUBLE the impact of your tax-deductible gift to Texas Values.

By midnight tomorrow, it’s crucial that we raise the support needed to continue our work for faith, family, and freedom in 2020. I sincerely hope you will make a gift online TODAY so that we take full advantage of our match.

Thank you for helping me fight to ensure the values of faith, family, and freedom are passed on to the next generation!

Keep fighting the good fight,

Mary Elizabeth Castle
