Fellow Michigan Parents:
Parents are their children?s first and most important teacher, and we need your input to help our kids thrive in school. We need parents? perspectives to help our kids learn in-person, tackle unfinished learning, and get on track for long-term success.
That?s why last month, I announced the creation of the Michigan Parents? Council to represent the parent perspective and ensure that parents have an empowered seat at the table in state budget discussions.
Over the last several weeks, the Council has been convening roundtables of parents and family members across Michigan to collect parent ideas and feedback to be incorporated into next year?s state budget recommendations.??
Here?s where you come in: we?re inviting all Michigan parents of pre-K ? 12 students to share your feedback through the MI Parent Survey. Now?s your chance to add your voice to the conversation around what?s working well in your schools and what investments you?d like to see in the future.
The survey takes about 6 minutes to complete and is available in English, Spanish, and Arabic.
The survey will be open through Monday 10/31. Feel free to share the link with other Michigan parents!
After the roundtables and survey are complete, the Michigan Parents? Council will also host a virtual meeting on Thursday, November 3rd that?s open to all parents statewide. Look out for the meeting link soon!
Thank you for being part of the conversation. I am looking forward to working directly with parents to make Michigan a Top 10 state for education and further improving the lives of students all over the state.
Sincerely,
|
