Dear John,
It’s up to us.
Young voters have the power to make or break this election – if we make it to the polls.
We care deeply about climate change, fair access to the ballot box, and clean water, but a recent Marist/NPR poll showed a serious lack of enthusiasm among young voters. In fact, it showed we’re the least likely to vote on Nov. 8.
So, why the lack of voter enthusiasm? It’s a one word answer: doubt.
Despite climate change being high on our list of concerns, young voters doubt our votes will make a difference for the planet. We doubt our own power as voters.
We know this election could hinge on diminishing that doubt. So, we've been hard at work.
We’ve been organizing here at UW-Eau Claire and on campuses across the state this fall to turn out the student vote – and we’ve created a student voter resource hub to give Wisconsin college students the information they need to cast their ballot on Election Day.
In the final weeks before Nov. 8, we’re running this digital ad on social media to make sure students know Gov. Tony Evers shares our values – and will continue to move forward on Wisconsin’s transition to clean energy.
Your support helps us continue to run digital ads like this one to reach students across the state.
Can we count on you to share this message on your own social media profile – or chip in a gift today that helps us reach students with ads like this where they will see it?
