We send a number of fundraising emails, no doubt about it. You probably get more emails from us than some of your family and friends.

So we thought it important to explain why these are just so important to our mission.

First, you know that in every election cycle VoteVets is one of the largest outside spending organizations of any Democratic group.

You also know that we can run ads in many places progressive organizations can’t — ads that cut through the clutter, move polls, and get the results we want.

But what you may not know is that the overwhelming majority of the donations we receive come from lots of people contributing what they can, when they can.

And you probably would have never guessed that there is no greater source of those donations than emails.

So with Election Day coming up fast, we still have more work to do. More ads to run. To prepare for Republicans contesting elections. And we’re asking.
