Hi JOHN –

As you might know, Eric is a huge Buccaneers, Rays and Lightning fan. Everyone always likes a tight game, but in this campaign, there’s no overtime.

In case you haven’t heard, Eric and Anna Paulina Luna, his extremist GOP opponent, are tied in the race for FL-13, both polling at 47%. In the new survey, released by David Binder Research, Eric is leading with unaffiliated independent voters, 48% to Luna’s 43%.

This is a great sign, but we need to get the word out to more Democrats and unaffiliated voters about how to vote and why it’s so important that we elect Eric as our next representative in Pinellas County.

If you aren’t familiar with Anna Paulina Luna, she’s a right-wing extremist supported by the likes of Donald Trump and Matt Gaetz, and she brought Marjorie Taylor Greene to this district because she wants to emulate her in Congress.

She’s refused to debate Eric for our entire race and recently skipped out on a forum with local community members and businesses – which Eric of course attended and was very well received. She backed out at the last minute from participating in an AARP and Bay News 9 debate.

Essentially, Luna’s gone into hiding to keep her extremist view hidden from voters, especially when they’re compared to Eric’s experience and practical policy platform. She knows it won’t be a pretty comparison.

Even if Anna Paulina Luna refuses to participate in democratic debates or community events, we can tell you what she might say. She would probably leave out her refusal to acknowledge the validity of the 2020 election results. She’d tout her views as a “pro-life” extremist who supports a full abortion ban with no exceptions, not even to save the life of the mother. She’d back her Extremist Republican colleagues at all costs—because those are the extremists backing and advising her campaign.
