Australians from across the country will go back to Bonegilla next month to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the opening of the migrant centre that changed Australia.
Only a few generations since the first arrivals reached the Bonegilla migrant camp, about one in 20 Australians can now claim connection to the camp, which was a temporary home for some 320,000 people between 1947 and 1971.
A week of activities to commemorate the milestone will be held from Monday, November 21 to Monday, November 28, with a highlight to be the official opening of the Bonegilla ID card exhibition.
Bookings are now open and you can view the full program at bit.ly/BME75program
