John – BNC Representative Katie Porter had yet another viral teachable moment in Congress last week.

In a congressional hearing on inflation and corporate price gouging, Katie held up a chart showing that over HALF of the higher prices you and I are paying at the grocery store and the gas pump are caused by inflated corporate profits.

Here is a snippet of Katie’s conversation with Mike Konczal, Director of Macroeconomics at the Roosevelt Institute:

When the crisis hit, Katie was appointed by then-California Attorney General Kamala Harris to assist California families cheated by the five biggest Wall Street banks.

Katie held the big banks accountable and forced them to pay billions to the people they harmed, helping tens of thousands of families move forward with their lives.

But years after the financial crisis, it’s clear that millions of Americans are STILL suffering due to corporate greed and they need a representative who will truly fight for them.

Recently, Katie has led the charge for a windfall tax to claw back illicit profits from Big Oil that are bankrupting Americans at the gas pump.

Now she’s calling out big corporate greed across the board.
