In exactly two weeks, North Carolinians will go to the polls to elect our next Senator. I’m reaching out today to tell you that Cheri Beasley is the right person for the job. 

But recent polling has Cheri locked in a tight race with her far-right opponent Ted Budd — showing her campaign either tied or within the margin of error.

Ted Budd thinks that he can let special interests buy this seat for him. But Budd’s record is wrong for North Carolina — he supports raising taxes on the middle class, wants to fully ban abortion with zero exceptions, and has opposed efforts to lower costs and tackle inflation.

We need Cheri to win, but in a state as purple as North Carolina, that won’t be easy. Especially with Republicans dumping millions into the state to boost Budd.

With the Senate split 50-50, the GOP only needs to flip one seat to regain control of the chamber and return Mitch McConnell to the majority leader’s office. And they are all-in on winning this seat.
