Today marks two weeks out from Election Day. And while, like everyone, we here at Groundwork Project are gearing up for November 8, we spend most of our time thinking about what happens on November 9. And the day after that. And the week after that. And the month after that. Because the fights playing out in Groundwork’s states are so much bigger than one campaign or one election. From voting rights to reproductive justice, the organizers we support on the ground are on the frontlines of the battles that will define the next decade. They don’t have the luxury of closing up shop or moving on when the polls close. Not when our democracy is at stake. For far too long, the voters of these states have been largely ignored by national Democrats, forced to face off against a vicious, conservative policy agenda with little to no support. Whether it is environmental degradation in West Virginia, voter suppression in Alabama, reproductive injustice in Mississippi or attempts to co-opt public education in Oklahoma: You can trace the far-right’s priorities directly through our partner states. Donate now to help Groundwork fund even more organizers and projects in our partner states that are prepared to fight back. Let’s send a clear message that they can count on us long after Election Day. Thanks for being a part of this, Joe
