Just ask. If you’re fortunate enough to still have your parents in your life (and have a sound relationship with them), just ask. About their childhoods. About their friends. About what they were passionate about when they were young. About how they dealt with toddler you at your most terroristic. About everything. Because, as cliché as it sounds, time is both our greatest ally and our greatest enemy. And when you think you have more than enough of it, chances are you don’t. So ask.
