This isn't a political statement. This is fact. Our kids are suffering - less than half are reading at grade level with even worse test results in math, science, and social studies.

The politicians and the bureaucrats did this - not the teachers. I know teachers have done the best job possible. My wife Makenze is an elementary school teacher, and I have seen firsthand the love, attention, and hard work that teachers put into their students.
My goal as Governor is to give teachers the tools to succeed - and that includes supporting their best efforts to teach face to face in the classroom not over a screen.
