Quantum computing has opened up new threats to our national security.
Friend,
Technological innovation moves at lightning speed. It has helped connect the world, unleashed a new spirit of entrepreneurship, and solved problems at scale. But it has also opened up new threats to our national security.
That’s why I helped to lead on the bipartisan Quantum Computing Cybersecurity Preparedness Act, which passed in the House of Representatives earlier this year. The bill would incentivize federal agencies to move towards computer systems with stronger encryption capabilities to secure sensitive information.
Sign if you agree: Cybersecurity is national security.
Investing in cybersecurity will allow us to better combat the dangers posed by quantum computing that’s beginning to take shape worldwide in the interest of national security. We must be prepared to enter this next era of technological progress without fear that our country’s most important information might fall into the wrong hands.
