I’m proud to be gay and raising my three kids in Western North Carolina, a place we are proud to call home. 

For families like mine, this isn’t always simple. Far-right Republican politicians have been relentless about attacking LGBTQ rights in our state – including my opponent Chuck Edwards.

But I’ll be damned if I’m represented in Congress by someone who refuses to protect my marriage and family.

We cannot send another right-wing extremist to Congress, who will pass federal Don’t Say Gay legislation and vote against protecting marriage equality. That’s why in these last two weeks we have to use all of the grassroots power we have to flip NC-11 blue. Districts like NC-11 are exactly where we need to double down as we fight to protect our democracy and our fundamental freedoms.
