John -
We set an ambitious end of year goal of $50,000, knowing that hitting our goal would mean starting off 2020 with the resources we need to continue our crucial legal and investigative work. A generous donor stepped up to match that $50,000, because they believe in CREW’s anti-corruption work and know that it is incredibly important.
But right now, we’re falling short of that goal. A second donor has offered to match $10,000 to help us reach our goal, meaning that the next $10,000 in donations will be matched by both donors, so every gift will go three times as far.
Can you make a double-matched donation now? Your gift will directly support our anti-corruption work in 2020.
Over the last three years, CREW has taken more than 600 legal actions to challenge corruption and abuse of power, including more than 200 in 2019 alone. We’ve been able to keep up that pace, protecting the rule of law and standing up for our democracy, because of thousands of generous supporters who believe that our democracy is worth fighting for.
Hitting this goal is important. If you believe that fighting President Trump’s corruption and standing up for an ethical government matters, then I hope you’ll consider making a double-matched donation now to help us reach this crucial year-end goal. We can’t do this without you.
Thank you for your support,
Noah Bookbinder
Executive Director, CREW
P.S. A contribution of any amount helps, but if you aren’t able to contribute right now, you can still help us reach our goal by sharing this message with others, or sharing CREW’s posts on social media. Thank you for your support!
