We are proud to announce Imam Abdullah Antepli as the first Kay Family Award Honoree at ADL In Concert Against Hate on November 14th. Imam Antepli grew up in southeastern Turkey with an underprivileged background. At a young age he was exposed to antisemitic propaganda which taught him to live with the virus of hate. As he moved into adulthood, Imam Antepli sought to change his ways through education and building relationships with members of the Jewish community. Imam Antepli receives this award for his extraordinary work fighting antisemitism as a scholar and cross-culture dialogue leader.
Join us on November 14th as we return to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to honor heroes like Imam Abdullah Antepli. This in-person night of music, community and celebration will feature performances by the internationally renowned National Symphony Orchestra and acclaimed stars. Storytelling and song will guide you through the evening as we celebrate real-life heroes and their extraordinary acts of courage and compassion in the face of bigotry and hate.
