Uncertainty over the state of our country. Polls showing Republicans gaining the edge. Pundits talking about Congress swinging back to the GOP. The potential impact of MAGA Republicans undermining the progress we’ve made.
But we need to stay focused. No matter what the polls say, there’s only one set of numbers that matters — and that’s the vote count at the end of the election.
The nature of polling is changing so fast that even pollsters are struggling to keep up. And we’ve seen polling miss the mark in big ways recently. It’s hard to pull meaningful information from polls or know how to make sense of all the variables going into the data.
But I know this: Republicans want to repress the truth, suppress the vote, and depress the voters.
MAGA extremists are counting on Democrats losing momentum. They want to deflate us by blanketing us with bad news, trying to tell us that our candidates can’t win. It’s hype. It’s prefabricated disinformation meant to keep us down and stop our movement.
So take another look and tell me, John — who’s polling who?
The way we beat the GOP at their own game is to give them the bad news on November 8th.
They want poll results to depress us? Let’s have poll results energize, activate, and mobilize us.
They’re trying to overwhelm us with disinformation? Let’s overwhelm them with votes.
Let’s vote and vote early. Republicans have a history of sending their supporters to the polls on Election Day. We have to get people to the polls during the early voting period to avoid the crowds and long lines.
