We know the threat against voting rights for the Black community is real
and active, and as we approach the critical midterm elections, [ [link removed] ]we’re
counting on your support to keep this work going.

In 2020, we first launched our get-out-the-vote plan focusing on
increasing turnout of Black, male voters to the polls. This resulted in
mobilizing 200,000 Black male voters – nearly 70% of those we engaged –
and we want to build on that success with proven strategies like:

* Direct outreach to scientifically targeted voters via text message,
where our organizers not only make a strong case for voting but
provide vital information on voting and corrections to the
disinformation many of these voters may encounter.

* Activating our leadership networks, like our national network of
African American clergy, to mobilize the vote in their local
communities.

* Running radio ads across multiple states to reach and empower Black
voters.

* Sharing video and toolkits for online advocacy across social media.

We’ve set an ambitious goal to build on the success of 2020, and get 1
million Black men to the polls across 15 states for this year’s election.

Voting rights of many historically marginalized populations are under
attack, and we know that focusing on this specific group most targeted by
voter suppression can help improve outcomes across communities. A rising
