Across the country, GOP-led state legislatures are chipping away at abortion access, voting rights, and more. Left unchecked in the absence of Democratic governors or federal protections, these state legislatures will continue to strip away the rights and freedoms of millions of Americans.

State legislatures led by Trump-endorsed, QAnon-associated, GOP extremists also pose a dire threat to our democracy. With a conservative Supreme Court majority poised to place the power to overturn election results in the hands of state legislatures, the certification of the 2024 Presidential Election results could be at stake.

Building Democratic power in state legislatures has never been more important. That’s why we’re working with our partners at Swing Left to raise critical funds for Democratic candidates running in key state-level races across the country.

Electing these Democrats will make a real impact in these states where our fundamental rights are on the line:

In Arizona, where GOP-authored legislation has targeted both abortion access and voting rights, Democrats are just two seats away from majorities in both the state house and state senate.
Pennsylvania is likely to be a hotly-contested presidential swing state in 2024, and Democrats have a viable path to flip the state house this year, helping to safeguard the certification process.
In Michigan, Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s veto has thus far blocked GOP attempts to ban abortion. Making gains in the state legislature will help Democrats make progress toward stopping these harmful bills before they’re passed.
Georgia Democrats have the opportunity to continue narrowing the GOP’s majority in the state legislature as they work toward gaining the majority over the next several election cycles.
