Well, here we go again folks. This week President Biden announced the release of an additional 15 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Since the fall of 2021 the SPR has released nearly 210 million barrels. This is Biden putting politics before people, while Mike Levin enables him!
It’s a move of mere political desperation less than three weeks before an election. Not only does releasing oil from the SPR deplete reserves meant for national emergencies, it reduces gas prices by a few cents at the most. Biden also announced his administration plans to restock the SPR once crude oil prices fall between $67 to $72 a barrel. Remember a few years ago when we had a chance to restock the SPR when crude oil was $30 a barrel? Progressives like Mike Levin blocked this effort calling it a “bailout for big oil.”
This is politics at its ugliest. Remember, we wouldn’t be in this predicament if Biden and Progressives like Mike Levin hadn’t sacrificed our energy independence that took decades to build! And now you, the constituents of CA49, get to pay for their ignorance every time you go to the pump.
Once elected I promise you I will do everything in my power to regain America’s role as the top energy producer and ensure that the American people are no longer subject to the radical, environmental whims of Progressives like Mike Levin.
