How Do We Maintain Trust in Our Elections?

It's two weeks away from the midterm elections, and polls show many Americans fear our democracy is in peril. One of the foundations of trust in the election process rests upon a better understanding of the legacy of a republican government created by the Founders and the nature of the system of representation in the Constitution. Both concepts are explored in depth in the first unit of our "First Branch: Congress and the Constitution" resource.

Trust in our election system is vital to a democratic system, and concerns about the integrity of our elections leads to public discussions about how to limit voter fraud and ensure the voice of every eligible voter is counted.
