Friends,
Despite many state officials and our representatives in D.C. trying to tell us differently, we are experiencing a public safety crisis across America. On our streets, in our schools and at our southern border, lawlessness is tearing our communities apart. The recent deliberate, fatal attack on Bristol police officers responding to a domestic violence call has shocked our state and law enforcement agencies across America.
We need real leaders who will step up, support victims rather than the perpetrators of crime and who will pledge to be a champion for the brave men and women putting their lives on the line everyday to keep us safe.
Our police officers need to be and feel supported within our communities. The anti-law enforcement rhetoric, coming from Washington and even from state and local officials, needs to change. We must lift up our police, fire, EMS, and all emergency response professionals across Connecticut and our country.
