John,
Thanks for being one of The Union’s most engaged volunteers. We call this group The Abe-Team. We're bringing you ONE action each day to help make a difference in the midterms. See today’s Abe-Team priority action below.

Plan to Vote Training
TODAY and every Tues and Sat @ 2 – 3pm EDT
Helping others make a plan to vote is one of the best ways to make sure they cast their ballot. Vote planning is a technique to ensure voters turn out at the polls. The goal of a vote plan is to encourage an individual to envision themselves voting and identify any potential barriers they might have or encounter. You can make a vote plan for yourself or with someone when phone banking, canvassing, or in normal conversation. Come learn how to develop a vote plan (and how to help others make theirs) by asking questions such as:
• What time will you be voting?
• Where are you voting?
• Do you have a mail-in ballot or are you going to the polls?
• How are you getting there?
• Do you need a ride?
• Who else can you bring with you?
• Do you need to take off work or secure childcare?
• In states with voter I.D. laws: Do you have all the necessary documents to vote?
Use this guide to help your own friends and family develop a plan to vote, too!
Everything we care about is on the line. What we do together can make the difference.
It will take all of us,
The Union
P.S. If you are looking for other volunteer opportunities, please check out The Union’s new Action Center where you can find the most important ways to defend our democracy, nationally or in your state, updated throughout the day.
