As 2019 draws to a close, we have much to celebrate and much to reflect upon. We have shared heartbreaking stories with you of love and loss, and stories of hope—hope that one day, together, we will find a cure for epilepsy. For more than 20 years, CURE has led a transformational shift in epilepsy research. We focus our efforts and dollars where they’re needed most, resulting in extraordinary scientific breakthroughs, but our work is far from over. The only thing standing between us and a scientific breakthrough is money for research. Unraveling the complexities of the brain is a monumental challenge, made even more difficult by the lack of awareness and research dollars for this devastating disease. CURE’s founding families believed in the power of epilepsy research long before most did, and the organization is committed to harnessing that power until we have a cure. One day, research WILL lead us to a cure. We promise that we will not stop fighting, we will not stop researching, and we will not stop advocating until we find it. In these final two days of 2019 let’s celebrate how far we have come, and let’s make a shared resolution to continue this fight. Let’s ensure that science catches up in time for the next Cameron, for the next Adelaide, and for the millions of children and adults desperately waiting for a cure. Thanks to a generous donor, all new and increased contributions made before midnight tomorrow night will be DOUBLED. If you have not already, please join us in our resolve and double your impact by making a year-end gift today. With hope, gratitude and unrelenting determination,
Beth Lewin Dean, CEO |
