OCA to Honor Wells Fargo, 4 Asian American Leaders at 31st Annual Corporate Achievement Awards Gala
Washington, D.C. — OCA-Asian Pacific American Advocates announced Monday that it will honor Wells Fargo and four outstanding individuals at its 31st annual Corporate Achievement Awards Gala on November 3 for their dedication to serving Asian American communities.

The Corporate Achievement Awards (CAA), established in 1991 by OCA’s Business Advisory Council, is the first of its kind to celebrate Asian American excellence and achievement in the corporate sector. Over the course of three decades, roughly 260 corporate leaders and over a dozen corporate partners have received honors.

The following individuals were named 2022 Corporate Achievement Awardees:

* Albert Shen, Senior Manager of Verizon Business Group, Public Sector Strategy, Verizon
* Maria Singh, Cybersecurity Engineer, Vulnerability & Risk Management, T-Mobile
* Michelle Rhee, Deputy General Counsel, Legal Department, Wells Fargo
* Paolo Narciso, Vice President, Program Development Business Optimization, AARP Foundation

Honorees were nominated by their respective employers and selected to receive awards by an independent panel of judges. All will be honored at a virtual gala hosted by OCA National Center at 5-7 PM ET on Thursday, November 3.

Separately, Anne Chow, the CEO of AT&T Business, was named the recipient of the 2022 OCA Executive Excellence Award, which recognizes a single leader that has been exemplary in empowering the next generation of Asian Americans. Ms. Chow is the first Asian American, and first woman, to lead the former subsidiary of AT&T.

OCA will also honor Wells Fargo as its 2022 Outstanding Corporate Partner, with Wells Fargo’s Senior Vice President Maggie H. Shortes accepting the award. Beyond being a member of OCA’s Business Advisory Council for over a decade, the company has long been standing with the AAPI community since the days they advocated for Chinese immigrant rights during the 1882 Chinese Exclusion Acts.

Biographies of the awardees and the program will be available here. ([link removed])
