Over the past two weeks, all registered voters in Long Beach should have received ballots for the November 8 midterm election. Voting is incredibly important to the future of our country and city. I hope you'll join me in making sure your voice is heard this election.

It's never been easier to vote in Long Beach. Once your ballot is filled out you can return it in the mail — you don’t even need a stamp.

You can also place it in a ballot drop box or return it to a vote center on November 8 before 8 p.m. Long Beach is home to 17 ballot drop boxes, located at:

• Bret Harte Neighborhood Library( 1595 W. Willow St.)
• Burnett Neighborhood Library (560 E. Hill St.)
• Dana Neighborhood Library (3680 Atlantic Ave.)
• El Dorado Park West Community Center (2800 N. Studebaker Rd.)
• Freeman Community Center (1205 Freeman Ave.)
• Heartwell Park Community Center (5801 Parkcrest St.)
• Houghton Park Community Center (6301 Myrtle Ave.)
• Long Beach City Hall (411 W. Ocean Blvd.)
• Long Beach Senior Center (1150 E. Fourth St.)
• Marina Vista Park (5355 E. Eliot St.)
• Mark Twain Neighborhood Library (1401 E. Anaheim St.)
• Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library (5870 Atlantic Ave.)
• Ramona Park (3301 E. 65th St.)
• Scherer Park (4600 Long Beach Blvd.)
• Stearns Champions Park (4520 E. 23rd St.)
• Veterans Park (101 E. 28th St.)

If you'd like to vote in person, you can do so at any L.A. County vote center. Early voting at some centers begins this Saturday, October 29, and every center will be open starting on November 5. You can find your closest vote center, track your ballot and find additional information: here.
