What we’re seeing on the ground here in Georgia is truly historic. We’ve seen hundreds of thousands of voters come to support Stacey and her vision — despite all of the hurdles Brian Kemp has put in our way.

And if the trend we’re seeing right now continues, we’ll be well on our way to unprecedented election numbers this November. But we’re going against the modern-day architect of voter suppression — and we need to be prepared for what Brian Kemp and his cronies throw our way now that the strength of our team is clear.

The past year has shown us that there is nothing permanent about our civil liberties or civil rights in this country right now. Decades-old precedents are being thrown out by the highest court in the nation. Our voting rights are in question.

And Brian Kemp has shown us what it means to take advantage of a deteriorating democracy and use it for his own political gain.

As the architect of modern-day voter suppression, Brian Kemp has chipped away at the rights of millions as an excuse to protect so-called “election integrity.”

As Secretary of State, he purged some 1.4 MILLION voters from the rolls. He intimidated and helped jail Black school board candidates for simply exercising their right to vote. And as Governor, he’s passed one of the most comprehensive voter suppression laws in the country, outlawing mobile polling stations and trying to make it harder for voters to access the ballot.

And at the same time, he’s touting historic the Early Vote numbers as his own, completely disregarding the actual organizing on the ground of our communities that’s making that happen, John.

We need to show Brian Kemp, the media and the rest of the world that the most dangerous thing facing Georgia right now isn’t “election fraud” or whatever else he’s pulled from his far-right playbook, but four more years of Kemp.

And right now, we need our supporters to dig deep and ensure we do just that.
