Friend - how do you fight for your community?
As a teenager, I migrated to Florida with my family from Venezuela & never imagined I'd be the one out here in 2022 telling you to vote in the U.S. midterm elections - but here I am. 🗳️Last November, I voted for the first time as a newly naturalized citizen and this November I’m doing it again!
I may not be passionate about voting, but I am passionate about access to higher education, reproductive & economic justice for my community - that’s why I vote and that’s why I want to invite you to join UWDA’s Here to Stay Campaign where we’re texting over 1 million voters in key states like Texas, Florida, and now my state of Arizona! 📲 With just a couple weeks left till election day, can you join us for a text bank this Thursday Oct. 27?

Let’s be real, it’s easy to feel like voting isn’t for you or that it’s not going to make a difference. But in these midterm elections, there are candidates & ballot measures across the country that could make huge differences in our communities. Here in Arizona for example, Proposition 308 is on the ballot & if it passed, all students regardless of immigration status would be able to pay in-state tuition rates for college. 🙌Voters like us have the power to win this!
I invite you to think about someone in your life who isn’t able to vote & will be affected by the results (good or bad) of these elections, Friend. 🤝Then, I invite you to show up for them by reaching out to voters with us this week!
