Dear John,
I wanted to share some updates with you about my work to represent Middle and Southwest Georgia and deliver for all Georgians. Here is what I’ve been up to lately:
1. I welcomed U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Marcia L. Fudge to Columbus, Georgia. During her visit, we had the opportunity to speak with residents and host a roundtable about community development, affordable housing programs, and homeownership. Safe and affordable housing is critical, and I’ll continue to support programs to address housing needs.
2. I joined First Lady Dr. Jill Biden for a roundtable focused on military family services. We must take care of our military families. Servicemembers must have the peace of mind to know their families are being taken care of so they can do their job to protect our country.
3. I met with farmers across Middle and Southwest Georgia to discuss our efforts to support Georgia’s agriculture economy and rural communities. I am working hard in Congress to ensure our federal agriculture programs are fully-funded and support the needs of our farmers, ranchers, and commodity producers.
