John,

Throughout this race, we’ve reported on a number of racist incidents coming from Michelle Steel -- whether they were anti-Semitic or anti-Asian. And as we close in on Election Day, her team has only ratcheted up the racism.

First, it was the “China’s Choice” signs and mailers. This weekend, we caught their campaign yet again running ads that play into racist stereotypes.

In her latest ad, Steel uses paid actors with thick accents portraying Chinese Community Party intelligence officers. The ad repeats the lie that Jay Chen -- a Taiwanese-American and Lt. Commander in the US Navy Reserves -- is one of their “socialist comrades.”

The ad is so disgusting that Asian Americans for Good Governance WITHDREW their endorsement of Steel’s campaign -- citing the ad as “malicious,” “extremely concerning,” and “disturbing.”

Michelle Steel is crossing the line completely.

She questions a naval officer’s patriotism despite never serving a day in the armed services herself. She’s playing into harmful stereotypes -- fueling anti-Asian hate and putting the AAPI community in danger.

Like Donald Trump, Michelle Steel is emboldening racist extremism in an attempt to swing this race. We’re glad her own supporters are turning on her, but we still need your help to put a stop to her racism. Please chip in $3 or more to help Democrat Jay Chen flip CA-45 from red to blue.
