An Early Voting Message

Second Congressional District, Friends, And Family: We are experiencing dramatic social and political change in this district and nation. In order for change to come, we need free college education and student loan forgiveness at Hendrix College, UCA, Central Baptist College, UALR, ABC, Shorter College, Philander Smith College, U. of A-PTC, UAMS, Baptist Health College Little Rock, Arkansas Beauty School, Saline County Career Technical, U. of A. Community College at Morrilton, U. of A. Beebe, UAPB, and all higher educational institutions and technical programs so we can compete. We need a transportation revolution in our district to connect downtown Little Rock within a twenty-five (25) to forty (40) mile radius so we can compete. We need heightened economic productivity and a sustainable agribusiness sector so we can compete. We need to harness solar and hydropower energy so we can compete. We need increased educator pay and grant teachers tenure and permanence after two (2) years to address shortages so we can compete. We need to create opportunities for all people rather than merely an economic elite so we can compete. Inequality, Women's Rights, Marriage Equality And LGBTQIA+ Rights Inequality is on the ballot. The Arkansas state legislature supported a racially gerrymandered map which is unfair and unequal. It was designed for a Republican to hold the grip of power for a minimum of ten (10) more years. They cannot hold power forever. The court cases must pan out to favor the will of the people! We are fighting for the unprecedent victory this election. Arkansas has never sent an African American or a person of color to a federally elected seat. Voter suppression is on the ballot and I am unapologetically stating, "One of the last Confederate battles is being fought in the Second Congressional District." Women's rights is on the ballot. We must codify Roe v. Wade and craft national laws to move women's rights and reproductive freedom Onward, Forward, Upward, and Outward! Marriage equality and LGBTQIA+ rights are on the ballot. The incumbent voted and will continue to vote against your interest. It is time to address the actual needs and concerns of all Central Arkansans. We have been seduced by fear and demagoguery for the last eight (8) years. It must end today. Yes, We Can Love, Lift And Lead The People. The incumbent will not fight as hard as me to equalize the scales and bring equity to all people. He cannot inspire the present and future generation like I can and do. He cannot grow hope and make it real like I can and do. He does not represent the interest of all people like I can and do. He will not vote to expand voter rights, maintain motor voter registration, advocate for same-day registration, early voting, automatic voter registration, multilingual voting ballots and election materials, and passage of the Iconic Civil Rights Leader and Congressman John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. There is no logical, legal, moral, or practical reason to suppress the vote and shrinking hope. We live in a new day, a new time. The opposition and the Republicans are out-of-touch and it is visible through their mass resistance to progress. We, the People deserve to hear more than a range of rhetoric. We deserve a leader who will march in the streets, write letters and proclamations, make the difficult and delightful phone calls, show up at meetings, ensure financial resources reach our veterans at a higher amount, and one who will fight crime and reduce recidivism with jobs, sanitary and safe housing, and quality world class education. Go Vote Go vote to so we can create laws that sufficiently reflect the will of all the people of the Second District. Go vote to reflect equal protection under the law. Go vote for adequate funding for prekindergarten through higher education. Go vote for fair representation. Go vote for our nation's ideals, dreams, goals, and aims. Go vote Gov. Mike Beebe Democrats, President Bill Clinton Democrats, First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Democrats, Little Rock Mayor Lottie Shackleford Democrats, and Congressman Vic Snyder (AR-02) Democrats. Let's go get that good feeling back! Go vote for all who walk in truth, excellence and love freedom. Go vote today through November 8 for Dr. Quintessa Hathaway so we can take Central Arkansas Onward, Forward, Upward, and Outward!
