On the one-year anniversary of January 6, legendary journalist and Common Dreams supporter Bill Moyers issued this stark warning:
“American democracy is a series of narrow escapes, and we may be running out of
luck.”
Today, the threat to democracy appears even greater.
For months, election workers have been bombarded with threatening phone calls and emails. Masked “poll watchers” armed in military tactical gear have been seen gathering outside early voting locations. More and more Republican candidates refuse to say that they will accept the election
results if they lose.
