Dear John,
Thank you for your support throughout this busy year! I have never been more optimistic about the future of our city.

I am especially proud of all we have accomplished since I took office in 2015.

We set out to achieve meaningful change for our residents and our businesses. We knew that we needed to streamline our city services to ensure that they were accessible and professional, and we did just that by creating our 3-1-1 service and application, which has seen over 10,000 downloads to date.

We aimed to stabilize our finances knowing that our position was improving but fragile. This year we realized our fourth consecutive surplus and rebuilt our rainy day fund to $20M.

We moved away from the “waiting until things break” mentality and we have developed a comprehensive Capital Improvement Plan and we worked collaboratively with the Providence City Council to fund it.

We have invested in our youth—increasing access to healthy meals, providing quality year long, life long opportunities for them and centering community voice every step of the way.

Crime is at historic lows and development is happening at a record rate. Without a doubt, we are a city on the rise, and it is because of people like you who have supported us throughout these five years.

I need your help next year - Will you contribute $20 to help us continue this important work in 2020?

Wishing you all the best in the New Year.

Thank you,
Jorge
