You're invited to join Michelle, Natasha Sistrunk Robinson, David Swanson and host Lisa Rodriguez-Watson in a robust dialogue on truth-telling, restoration, and peacemaking during the webinar on October 26 at 3:30pm ET.

You will walk away with tools that help you and your communities flourish. Our aim is to identify tangible practices that you can contextualize and implement in this cultural moment to begin to see transformation take place.

We were glad to partner with IVP and Michelle Ferrigno Warren to bring you these nine daily devotionals. Please enjoy this last reflection, "The Presence of Justice."

We live in a world that is disconnected, ever longing to be reconnected. We long for the ministry and healing of peace, shalom to cease our groaning.

The biblical word peace, or shalom, is much bigger than what we often associate peace to be: free from noise or even war. Shalom was the state that the world was created to be: connected, good, and in harmony with all things. I love how author Lisa Sharon Harper describes shalom, “what the Kingdom of God looks like in context.”[1] It is also what Martin Luther King, Jr. cast as a vision of the beloved community. “True peace is not merely the absence of tension; it is the presence of justice.”[2]

In our striving toward the beloved community, the kingdom of God in context, we need to stop violating each other’s dignity and instead work toward forgiveness, healing, and transformation.
