My race for U.S. Senate is one of the most competitive races in the entire country. At least three different pollsters in recent weeks have released polls that show our race tied, and CNN says North Carolina is one of the three seats “most likely to flip” to Democrats.

Our campaign is throwing out the old playbook and running the kind of grassroots campaign it takes to win in North Carolina. It’s clear that our strategy is working.

But this is a significant undertaking. It’s not cheap to organize everywhere and make sure voters — from the mountains to the coast, rural and urban alike — all hear that we understand their hopes and needs.
