Friend — polls are tightening in key states like Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin that will decide control of the U.S. Senate this November.
We have a
real shot at electing environmental champions and defeating their extreme, pro-polluter opponents, but what happens on Election Day will depend on how many pro-environment voters we can turn out.
But there's a major problem: As it stands, our get-out-the-vote (GOTV) efforts are underfunded. If it stays that way, we could lose races we otherwise could have won.
We're reaching out for help. We need to scale up our GOTV work in these final weeks and we need to do it quickly.
To pull that off, we need to raise $40,000 before the end of the month. A group of donors has put up a challenge match to
triple every contribution until then.
If everyone reading this right now pitched in — even $5 — we'd blow through that goal in minutes. Donate to LCV Victory Fund today — your contribution will be tripled >>
This is absolutely critical — we can't let up on our GOTV efforts if we're going to help pro-environment candidates win on Election Day. But if we don't hit our fundraising goal now, we may not have a choice.
Right now, resources are tight. We're expanding our efforts in states where we need to win. In races this close, whether the environmental movement goes to the polls will decide the outcome. We can't afford to pull back — we need to keep going until Election Day.
Here's what we're doing in just a few of the Senate battlegrounds we're working in:
- In Pennsylvania, we're expanding our field organizing program as the polls tighten in that critical open race. The latest Emerson College poll gives Lt. Gov. John Fetterman just a 2-point lead over Mehmet Oz, one of LCV Victory Fund's Dirty Dozen list of the worst anti-environmental candidates.
- In Arizona, we're knocking on doors and running ads to get out the vote for environmental champion Senator Mark Kelly, who's in a close race against Blake Masters, a Trump-endorsed, anti-environmental extremist.
- In Nevada, our field organizing program is growing to turn out even more pro-environment voters for climate champion Senator Catherine Cortez Masto in her race against climate change denier Adam Laxalt. FiveThirtyEight rates this race as a true toss-up — what we do now will decide who wins.
Friend — these aren't the only races we're hoping to win, but if we lose these three, our path to securing an environmental majority in the Senate gets a whole lot tougher.
Please contribute to our GOTV efforts today — when everyone pitches in, even donations of $5 are a big help. Your contribution will go three times as far if you chip in to help us in this final stretch >>
We can't thank you enough for fighting alongside us during this election.
