Hey team, Katie Porter here. I just endorsed Dr. Kermit Jones and named him one of my Truth to Power candidates.
Dr. Kermit was a Navy flight surgeon in Iraq – his squad’s job was to fly towards the sound of gunfire and bombs to get the wounded to safety. I know he has the guts to stand up for what’s right and speak truth to power by my side in Congress.
I can’t say the same for his opponent. Assemblyman Kevin Kiley accepted thousands in campaign contributions from Big Pharma, and when given the opportunity to vote on legislation that would lower the cost of prescription drugs, he voted NO.
